Over the weekend I photographed the new deacons and priests being ordained at Truro Cathedral.
Always a pleasure, and something I have done for many years. In fact I have taken photos in the cathedral on a professional basis for over twenty years, and have photographed everything in there, from the weather vane being re-installed on the very top of the cathedral, to choir practice in the basement, and everywhere in between. Whenever there is an important Diocesan event, I am called upon to take the photos. They know they can rely on me to capture quality images in lighting conditions that are very often very challenging. And stay as hidden as possible whilst taking those images – a very important aspect.
I think it would be fair to say that I probably have more experience of professional photography inside the cathedral than any other photographer working today, and hopefully that shows in the images I produce.
