Last week provided me with a new challenge – photographing springs. And these springs varied in weight and size, with the biggest weighing in at over 100kg.
Lesjöfors produce an extensive range of springs for the European Car and Light Commercial Vehicle market. They have spent over 160 years manufacturing springs, and today produce the world’s largest range of coil springs for the automotive aftermarket.
A variety of different images were needed, from basic stock images showing the whole spring, to more arty images.
These four images are examples from the photoshoot.
The first is a fairly small spring, which I used a blue gelled snooted flash from underneath to give visual interest to the inside.
The second is a basic stock type image, on a clean white background.
The third is looking through a large spring that has a lovely iridescent coating, that looks fantastic when looking at, and photographs brilliantly.
And the fourth image is the same spring, but in stock image form.
I thoroughly enjoyed the photoshoot, and look forward to working with Lesjöfors again in the future.
